In the spring, we ask the parents in each class to gather items to fill a themed basket(s). These “Class Baskets” are a special part of the Silent Auction at The Winston School Annual Auction Gala. Parents are encouraged to donate items in all price ranges that fit in with the theme. Be creative and think outside the box to make these as fun and interesting as possible! Please note, all DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE per IRS guidelines.
In the Lower School, each classroom will have a box labeled “class baskets” available to drop off donations. In the Upper School, the boxes will be in the assemblies. Whenever possible, please attach receipts to your donations in case duplicates are purchased. If you prefer, you are also welcome to make a monetary donation instead of purchasing items. Please write the check payable to The Winston PTO, write Class Basket in the memo section and drop it off in the PTO mail basket at The Winston School front desk.
We will also accept Class Basket donations in the Friday afternoon carpool collections or you can drop them off in the box marked Class Baskets in the small conference room by the front desk. Please include an Auction Contribution Form with your donation. These are also available at the front desk in the PTO mailbox.
Periodically, Rene Miller (Class Basket Auction Chair) will empty the donation boxes to begin putting together the themed Class Basket. Please contact Rene with any questions at: tmiller23@earthlink.net. All Class Basket donations are due no later than February 25, 2011. Please see below for your basket theme:
